A motorcyclist dies after a collision on one of the most dangerous roads in the Oise

The RD 1016which connects Clermont and , is one of the most accident-prone routes in the Oise department. Yesterday evening provided, once again, sad proof of this.

Around 7 p.m. this Thursday, January 16, a car and a motorcycle collided near Rantigny (in the Clermont-Creil direction), killing one person, according to information revealed by our colleagues at Good man Picard.

The victim was 29 years old

When emergency services arrived on site, they attempted to resuscitate a 29-year-old motorcyclist, who was in cardio-respiratory arrest at the time. Despite their attempts, the death of the pilot, originally from Oise, was pronounced on the spot.

An investigation entrusted at the Liancourt gendarmerie brigade was opened in an attempt to establish the exact circumstances. According to the Clermont gendarmerie companytwo other vehicles were involved in this accident, but no other injuries were reported.

A “cursed” departmental road, frequented by thousands of vehicles every day

Between 35,000 and 50,000 vehicles use this departmental road linking Clermont to Chantilly every day. Since the start of the year, this is already the second serious accident recorded there.

The last one dates back to January 2, in Cauffry. A side impact between cars left four people injured, including one very serious, which required the intervention of a Samu helicopter.
