the essential
In NF1, the Toulouse women, tenth in the ranking, remain three consecutive days without a victory. It’s time to react.
“The ranking is not representative of our progress. But we want it to be seen and to translate into victories.” TFH goalkeeper, Siriane Calamy presents the start of her team’s season.
After ten days, Toulouse are in tenth place with two wins, one draw and seven defeats. “For this season, the collective has been enormously renewed. We had to rebuild a group and a game project. We are still in this dynamic of progression and work. The squad is young and we must give them time to develop. put in place”, recalls the former Bruguières player.
“We’ve already burned jokers”
Dominated last Saturday at home by Bléré-Val de Cher (22-24), the Roses are now three days in a row without success. “I feel good in this team. The atmosphere is good. However, defeats affect morale. We have to stay mobilized, continue to work and gain confidence to experience more victories. That’s the crux of the matter”, insists Siriane Calamy, who currently has 61 saves (7th place in the goalkeeper rankings).
For this final day of the first leg, the Toulouse women are expected this evening in Gironde, on the floor of Saint-Loubès (7th), which is banking in particular on Milka Divic, top scorer in the championship with 82 goals. “We have already burned jokers and we are aware that every point will count. We must be more rigorous about ball losses and successful shooting,” warns the TFH goalkeeper, whose troops only have three points behind their evening opponents.
