Solana: Jupiter reveals details of its January 2025 airdrop

In January 2024, DEX aggregator Jupiter launched its governance token. This launch was accompanied by a massive community airdrop. So much so that Jupiter launched what was then called the airdrop season. Now, a year after this first airdrop, Jupiter returns with a new massive distribution.

A new airdrop for Jupiter

During the first airdrop, the Jupiter platform revealed that other airdrops were to come. Thus, at the beginning of December, decentralized governance finally validated a proposal aimed at defining the distribution framework for the next airdrop. As a result, we learned that Jupiter was planning two airdrops, for January 2025 and 2026. In practice, these airdrops are part of the Jupuary campaign.

On December 26, in the middle of digesting Christmas meals, the Jupiter Uplink account published a first airdrop distribution preview future.

Thus, the 700 million JUP tokens will be shared into two categories:

• JUP 500 million for swapers and stakers;
• 200 million JUP for Carrots and the Good Cats.

Allocation details

For once, to be eligible, you had to have used the Jupiter protocol during the year.

So, 425 million JUP tokens will be distributed to users having carried out swaps on Jupiter. In practice, allocations will be made according to 5 rowsdetermined by users’ swap volumes. Therefore, rewards for traders range from 50 to 20,000 JUP.

Note that users of other services, perps, DCA, Limit, will have a bonus.

For their part, stakers are not left behind. Indeed, 37.5 million tokens will be allocated to stakers and an additional JUP 37.5 million to users who voted via the DAO of the protocol.

Finally, tokens will be used via incentive mechanisms throughout 2025. For example, 50 to 200 JUP will be distributed to wallets that claim and then stake their JUP via the mobile application.

Now, users are eagerly waiting for the distribution date of this airdrop. Last year it was distributed on January 31, who knows, maybe it will be the same date this year.
