– Australian Open 2025: Navarro dominates Jabeur

The American Emma Navarro, seeded n°8, won two sets to one (6-4, 3-6, 6-4) against the Tunisian Ons Jabeur in a duel which kept Melbourne Park in suspense Saturday at midday

Navarro, 8th in the world at the WTA, will face the winner of the match between Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, seeded No. 24, and Russian Daria Kasatkina, seeded No. 9 during her first round of 16 in the Grand Australian Slam.

Navarro dropped a set in each of his matches this week, against Peyton Stearns (6-7 [5]7-6 [5]7-5), who was eliminated at the end of the racket, and the Chinese Xiyu Wang (6-3, 3-6, 6-4). “I love so much, I always have to get into third sets,” quipped Navarro after his match against Jabeur.
