Alphonso Davies will extend for four years!

This is the end of a long, very long soap opera. After weeks of rumors and reports sending him to the Premier League and Real Madrid, Alphonso Davies has finally made his decision. The left back will extend his contract with Bayern Munich as he reached the end of his contract next June. At the age of 24, the Canadian international was at a turning point in his career and the trend was even towards leaving a few weeks ago.

If he had particular touches in the Premier League where Manchester United was mentioned in particular, it was above all Real Madrid who hoped to attract him this summer. The idea was to install him on the left and bring in Trent Alexander-Arnold on the right to restructure the defense. For several weeks, the Spanish press even explained that the file was on very good track and that the player wanted to leave the Bundesliga for La Liga. Just this Thursday, Mark made its front page on the Canadian and even explained that Real Madrid was confident since it had already agreed on the terms of the contract with the player.

A 4 year contract

But this Friday evening, The Athletic reveals that the recent meeting between the player’s agents and Max Eberl was decisive. Indeed, Alphonso Davies has reached an agreement for a 4-year extension and a new contract until 2029. There are only a few details to be resolved between the different parties but Bayern Munich has succeeded in convincing their player to stay.

On the other hand, the British media explains that Real Madrid and the English clubs are still hoping for yet another turnaround which should not happen this time. With the end of this file, Casa Blanca will have to look into other files in this position. For its part, Bayern Munich is sending a strong signal to the competition and showing that it is still capable of fighting, particularly financially, with the European giants.
