According to Epic Games, the game developer, a big surprise awaits players. A portal could appear randomly during Battle Royale matches. The first player to find it and jump into it will transform into Godzilla. The latter has devastating attacks: a roar revealing nearby players, an overwhelming attack sending opponents flying and a heat ray capable of destroying buildings.

A big challenge for other players

But Godzilla won’t just be a blessing for the player controlling him. It will also represent a challenge for the other participants. Indeed, they will be able to attack its weak points to inflict additional damage and recover collectible fragments. These will provide bonus health and sprint charges. To help players in their fight against the colossal creature, the rail gun makes a comeback in the game.

Special outfits for the event

An event Fortnite would not be complete without a range of associated cosmetics. Current battle pass owners will be able to unlock a reactive Godzilla outfit by completing quests. This outfit will begin to glow after your first elimination in a match and will become brighter with each additional elimination. Be careful though, as this could make you more visible to your enemies. Kong and Mechagodzilla outfits will also be available in the in-game store.

The arrival of Godzilla in the universe of Fortnite promises wild games full of twists and turns. Take advantage before the end of the current season, scheduled for February 21.
