Aston Martin Vantage Roadster: release date, price, design… everything you need to know about one of the most beautiful convertibles of 2025

The Aston Martin Vantage Roadster allows the British brand to reach a new milestone in 2025. This convertible designed to combine luxury, performance and open-air sensations has all the makings of a future great sports car. Designed for driving purists, this convertible version of the Vantage embodies the very essence of British sportiness, enriched with cutting-edge engineering and timeless design.

A retractable roof at the cutting edge of innovation

The Vantage Roadster is distinguished by its ultra-fast retractable roof, a feat of engineering. In just 6.8 seconds, and up to a speed of 50 km/h, this multi-layer canvas roof folds elegantly behind the seats, thanks to a “Z” mechanism which lightens the structure.

Available in four colors (black, red, blue and black/silver), this roof is not just an aesthetic gadget: it guarantees acoustic and thermal insulation close to that of the coupe. Unlike many convertibles, the addition of this retractable roof only reduces the total weight of the vehicle by 60 kilos, thanks to an optimized design. The perfect balance between performance and elegance.

An engine that roars with power

Under the hood, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, designed by Mercedes-AMG and refined by Aston Martin, works wonders. With 665 horsepower and an impressive 800 Nm of torque, the Vantage Roadster promises exhilarating acceleration: 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, for a maximum speed of 325 km/h. These impressive figures almost match those of its coupe version, a feat for a convertible.

Combined with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and an electronic rear differential (E-diff), this engine guarantees smooth power distribution, providing unparalleled driving sensations. Engineers also recalibrated the rear shock absorbers to compensate for the extra weight, ensuring exceptional handling.

Unrivaled driving dynamics

Every element of the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster is designed to provide maximum driving pleasure. Its ultra-rigid aluminum structure, combined with custom-developed Michelin Pilot Sport S5 tires, guarantees unrivaled grip and precision, whatever the conditions. The carbon-ceramic brakes, on the other hand, ensure consistent and reliable braking performance, even at high speeds.

The suspension is a true technical masterpiece. Inspired by racing cars, it incorporates double wishbones at the front and a multi-link configuration at the rear, supported by Bilstein DTX adaptive shock absorbers. Whether you’re on a winding road or a racetrack, the Vantage Roadster promises intuitive and responsive driving, while offering impressive comfort for a vehicle in this class.

Sculptural design, even without a roof

Rain or shine, the Vantage Roadster is a rolling spectacle. Its design takes up the clean, muscular lines of the coupe, enhanced by unique details. New body colors, such as “Iridescent Sapphire” and “Bronze Flare”, accentuate its sophisticated look. The sloping windshield and the high beltline reinforce the impression of sportiness, while the rear spoiler (fin located at the rear of the car) adds a touch of dynamism.
