A 17-year-old New Hampshire teenager who was walking around with an air gun at a Manchester elementary school has been arrested by police.
Police were called Monday to reports of a young man who appeared to be holding a gun in the Verplanck School playground, NBC News reported Thursday.
A video also shows a school employee rushing students inside the establishment to be confined after spotting the armed suspect.
According to local police, the suspect pointed his gun at around 20 schoolchildren and other adults, but no one was injured.
-“Students and staff across the district have all followed the containment plan as outlined,” said Manchester Superintendent Matt Geary.
“I don’t know what was going through their minds or why they would do something like that,” Lino Ortega, a parent, told NBC News.
The suspect, whose identity has not been released due to his age, was apprehended and now faces several charges.
