Part of the FireAid program, the name of the major charity concert which is about to be given to help the victims of the Los Angeles fires, has been revealed.
The list is impressive, Lady Gaga, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Sting, Billie Eilish, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, P!nk, and many other artists will perform at the FireAid charity event, a major concert to be held on January 30 in two locations: the Inuit Dome and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, part of the program was announced this Thursday.
The shows will also include performances by Earth, Wind and Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Stevie Nicks, Jelly Roll, Lil Baby, Rod Stewart, Stephen Stills, Tate McRae, Dave Matthews and John Mayer. Other artists and special guests will be announced soon, organizers say.
The charity event is intended to help Los Angeles communities affected over the past two weeks by deadly wildfires that destroyed thousands of structures, particularly in Pacific Palisades, Malibu and Altadena.
-Produced by Azoff Company, Live Nation and AEG Presents, this show will be “an evening of Music and solidarity… with the aim of rebuilding the community and supporting prevention efforts,” according to a press release.
Proceeds will be donated to a nonprofit organization, with funds to support rebuilding infrastructure, supporting displaced families, and advancing fire prevention technologies and strategies to ensure Los Angeles is better prepared for emergencies in case of fire.
Fans around the world will be able to tune in and contribute to the cause, as FireAid will stream live on Apple Music and the Apple TV app, Max, iHeartRadio, Netflix/Tudom, Paramount+, Prime Video and Amazon Music Channel on Twitch, among others. Spotify, SoundCloud, or even YouTube, and in certain AMC cinemas in the United States.
