A 61-year-old man was indicted on Thursday January 16 for the murder of Ginette Naime in April 2000 in Ollioules (Var), the Nanterre prosecutor’s office announced in a press release. The body of this 46-year-old woman was found by walkers, stabbed on a path. The pole «cold cases»by its official name Nanterre serial or unsolved crimes center, had been seized of this case since the summer of 2022. It had opened a preliminary investigation in May 2023, entrusted to the Central Office for the Repression of Violence against Persons ( OCRVP), to restart the investigations.

On April 13, 2000, the suspect allegedly attacked Ginette Naime at the exit of the Communal Social Action Center (CCAS) in La Seyne-sur-Mer (Var) to extort money from her. In a video calling for witnesses from the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office, broadcast on the website of the Ministry of the Interior in June, an investigator explained: “An employee [du centre social] heard a woman screaming and from his window he saw a woman in a vehicle, on the front passenger side, knocking on the window, then the car drove away.” According to the investigation, the victim then made two money withdrawals from the BNP agency in La Seyne-sur-Mer.
