For the 20th anniversary of the game, “Beijing Express” began in a unique way. All the candidates’ suitcases had been carefully emptied on the ground. Once the suitcase was packed, the pairs had to begin a 4 km trek by pulling their suitcases, cross a lake on the inflatable mattress for 2 km and continue their journey by hitchhiking. Max and Hélène from Toulouse won the event and were able to spend the night at the summit of Kilimanjaro.

The first final duel, organized by day and not by night, took place between the pairs Mattéo-Esmeralda and Enzo-Otis. It was finally won by the Belgian cousins.
