Ulrick Leclercq, 18, was at school at the Simone Dounon high school, in Cosne-Cours sur-Loire (Nièvre).
The accident occurred on the departmental 955, in Boulleret (Cher), in the direction of the Cosne-sur-Loire high school, on the other side of the Loire, Tuesday January 9 in the morning, while the teenager was went to school by bike.
The director of the Simone Dounon high school in Cosne-sur-Loire, Sébastien Tricotet, explains why a white march was organized: “It came a bit from social networks, Ulrick’s parents asked me to find out if there was anything organized. We decided with the parents that the high school would lead the organization of this white march.”
It is also for high school students that the white march will take place: “the students really wanted to pay tribute to their friend, it was a beautiful and noble way to say goodbye to him. A way full of symbols.”
The walk will leave from the Simone Dounon high school courtyard at 9:30 a.m. to go to the accident site, on the other side of the Cosne bridge, on the Cher side. Speeches are expected. The high school principal adds: “He was a young man from Boulleret in Cher, but he spent most of his time in Nièvre. He was a football referee in Donzy. He was a kid who always had a smile and who brought people together quite naturally. He was very independent, sporty, very balanced.”
The emotion is still very strong around the disappearance of the high school student: “I sincerely hope that the family will feel supported through all of this, adds Sébastien Tricotet. We’re doing this to show that he was really appreciated by a lot of people and that we are united around Ulrick. Cosne is very small, we knew each other. That’s why it caused so much emotion here. It’s a high school of 220 students, we all know each other. Ulrick’s class really comes together behind him.”
In a press release, the town of Cosne-sur-Loire told us: “the City of Cosne shares the family’s compassion. Ulrick was involved in community life (football referee in Donzy) in Cosne. The march will be supervised by the Cher gendarmerie and the municipal police.”
Ulrick’s funeral will take place Friday afternoon in the church in the town of Boulleret.
