The Japanese video game giant is renewing a tradition that had proven itself during the launch of the first Switch in 2017. The Nintendo Switch 2 presentation event will be in Paris and will once again be held at the Grand Palais. Here is everything you need to know to maximize your chances of obtaining the precious sesame.
A fair registration system
Nintendo is innovating this year with a drawing system that replaces the “first come, first served” method. This approach aims to give a fair chance to all players wishing to discover the console.

Participation requires a free Nintendo Account and meeting certain eligibility requirements. Nintendo notably imposes a minimum age limit of 18 years for registration. This restriction does not prevent young people from participating in the event, but they must be included in a group registration via a family account.
For families and groups of friends, Nintendo has thought of everything. Registrations can be done individually or in groups of up to six people. In the case of a group registration, each participant must have a Nintendo account linked to the same family subscription. Parents wishing to have their children under 16 participate will need to create a specific child account within their family account.
An exclusive experience in the heart of Paris
The Parisian event will take place from April 4 to 6 at the Grand Palaisan exceptional setting that promises a memorable experience. The gaming sessions will allow visitors to exclusively discover the new features of the console. Nintendo has not yet revealed the list of games that will be presented, but we can expect a careful selection highlighting the technical capabilities of this new generation of Switch, notably the next Mario Kart previewed during the Switch 2 teaser.
A major European tour
Paris is not the only city to host this exceptional event. Nintendo is rolling out its Switch 2 Experience in five other European cities: London, Berlin, Milan, Amsterdam and Madrid.
Each participant can only register for one event in Europe, a restriction which aims to give as many people as possible the chance to participate.
Nintendo is thus returning to a marketing strategy that had proven successful in 2017. The preview presentation of the first Switch generated considerable enthusiasm and contributed to the phenomenal success of the console. Registrations start here on January 17 at 3 p.m. and continue until January 26 at 11:59 p.m., providing a comfortable window to enter the draw.
