Barely retired, this former player takes over as sporting director in Romania

Recently retired after hanging up his boots on January 1, Claudiu Keșerü has already found a new position. The former Romanian international has decided to return to his training club, FC Bihor. It’s a significant change for the former Beaujoire favorite, who recently spoke out after returning from retirement at the start of the season, and who will now take on the role of sporting director at his first club, the one who saw him grow up.

After spending ten years in during his career, with notable stints at FC and SCO , Claudiu Keșerü ended his playing career at Cherno More in the Bulgarian first division, having established himself as a true living legend at Ludogorets (139 goals in 243 matches). Now an integral part of FC Bihor’s organizational structure, the former striker has his work cut out for him. The Oradea club is fighting for survival in the Romanian second division, ranking fifteenth out of 22 teams.
