An emoji that says it all. This Wednesday, Victor Wembanyama shared his astonishment on social networks after the auction of one of his jerseys that he had given to a young fan after an NBA match.

On December 28, this child had a sign where he asked the French player of the San Antonio Spurs if he could exchange his jersey. “Wemby” had done it and posed with the child’s jersey. The photo brought smiles and people around the world.

Only a few weeks later, this jersey went on sale online. The asking price is 10,000 dollars (9,700 euros). Enough to shock the player.

As a reminder, the first jersey that the No. 1 of the 2023 Draft had worn with the Spurs was sold for the sum of 762,000 dollars (or approximately 700,000 euros).
