At the cinema this week: “Babygirl”, “Memoirs of a Snail”, “Wolf Man”

This week, the sulphurous “Babygirl” with Nicole Kidman hits the screens alongside, in particular, “Mémoires d’un escargot”, an animated film crowned at the festival, and the horror film “Wolf Man” , adaptation of the classic “Le Loup-garou” released in 1941.

What is it about? Filmmaker Adam Elliot pulls out all the stops to tell Grace’s story. When she and her twin Gilbert were born, their mother died in childbirth. Raised in poverty, marginalized, bullied at school, the two children grow up with improbable passions: collecting snails for Grace, whose only desire is to remain hidden in her shell, magic and fire for Gilbert, who dreams of being a street artist in like his father was to escape his reality.
