Ara Mihranian, in his fifties, this French native of Beirut is Ambassador of the Armenian wine brand HIN ARENI and settled in Armenia 6 years ago. Ara Mihranian strives to promote (through HIN ARENI wines) elegant Armenian wines from purely Armenian grape varieties in Armenia and in the world where nearly 50% of production is exported.

Ara Mihranian, graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Saint-Etienne, with a specialization in marketing and management, left in 2019 to join the HIN ARENI wine house in Armenia as a marketing consultant responsible for the development of the brand . Passionate about wines and marketing, he evolved quickly with the brand to become marketing and export director, then ambassador of HIN ARENI around the world.

The HIN ARENI wine house is located in Areni, in the Vayots Dzor region, the cradle of Armenian and world winemaking for millennia, near the historic Areni Cave, where archaeologists discovered the oldest cellar in the world more than 6,100 years old!

About a hundred kilometers south of Yerevan, on the Areni Wine Route, the ancient historic Silk Road, HIN ARENI has built the largest cellar in the region, as well as a real wine tourism center which receives every year tens of thousands of visitors and wine lovers from all over the world who come to discover our wines, our cellar, our vines, our wine restaurant, as well as our Wine Bank where they can keep their personalized Special Cuvée.

Since its creation in 2014, the HIN ARENI wine house has always had the same philosophy, that of highlighting the beauty of a unique thousand-year-old terroir, free from phylloxera and rich in 2 noble and historic Armenian grape varieties, Areni Noir and the Voskéhat, which grow in our vines at an altitude of 1250 meters.

With a 32-hectare vineyard located on the heights of the village of Areni, HIN ARENI combines Armenian winemaking traditions with modern European equipment and the know-how of Didier Cornillon, a renowned French oenologist, for more than 10 years.

Now present on 4 continents through a network of distribution partners (Europe, USA, Canada, Brazil, Russia, China, Australia), HIN ARENI wines are also distinguished by their quality with medals obtained each year in major international competitions such as the Brussels World Competition. Very recently, the HIN ARENI red Réserve 2018, already a gold medalist at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, has just been named Wine of the Year 2024 and Best Wine of Armenia by top100wines.ru

Over the past ten years, Armenian wines have experienced a true Renaissance, with exponential growth in both quality and quantity, in Armenia and internationally.
