A lock that focuses on security
The French specialist in connected objects, part of the Legrand group, is entering the arena of smart locks with an interesting first model. Netatmo offers to replace the cylinder to European standardunlike competing models (like Nuki or SwitchBot) which use a motorized device, often quite imposing, allowing the key to turn in the existing cylinder. Here it will simply be a matter of unlocking the door, the rest will be done manually.
Compatible HomeKit
The lock is unlocked using the Netatmo Security App via Bluetooth, or an NFC smart key. The application allows you to configure several keys, simply deactivate one in the event of loss or theft, and give guests access to the home for an evening. HomeKit compatibility will allow you to manage the opening/closing of the device remotely, and to develop scenarios, allowing for example to turn the lights on and off when activating the lock.
The Smart Lock has received the strictest certifications in this area. It responds to the growing need of users for useful, reliable and subscription-free products.
The firm announces autonomy more than a year old
with a notification and an audible alert when the batteries run out of power, as well as as a backup micro-USB connection system to open the door until the batteries are replaced.
The cylinder, entirely designed by Netatmo, is made from high-strength stainless steel, reinforced with an anti-drilling pad and 3 safety pins for optimal protection.
All features of the Netatmo Smart Lock are available for free, without subscription or additional costs.
