The Oasis du Martinez has just been awarded the Gold Victory in the 9th national competition Les Victoires du Paysage 2024 which recognizes the most beautiful landscaping in France.

During the awards ceremony of the 9th edition of the Landscape Victorieson December 11, 2025 in Paris, Salle Wagram, Michel CottrayManaging Director of theHotel Martinez received the precious and prestigious golden trophy, reward for collective work led by Patrick Bouchardondesigner of Oasis Garden next to Arnaud SolignyWorks Director of the company Bouygues Bâtiments Sud-Est.

Organized on the initiative of VALUEthe French inter-profession of horticulture, floristry and landscaping, this biennial and national competition has distinguished the most remarkable French landscaping projects since 2008. After visits during the summer of 2024 to the 74 finalist projects in the running to appear in the national prize list of this 9th edition – selected from the 101 candidate files – a professional technical jury made up of teams of landscape specialists finally presented its prize list .

A lush botanical garden in the heart of the Croisette

L’Martinez Oasis is a 2800 m² green haven of peace which cultivates all invigorating activities. Imagined by Pena Landscapesthis botanical garden designed to offer an immersive and sensory experience – delight of the eyescents, music – this plant trail is a true masterpiece of nature. Through its stone, slate, corten and wood paths, alternating with shaded and sunny areas, it invites you to daydream, well-being and travel throughout its journey. The all-blue ceramic swimming pool accompanies a Spa by story and a state-of-the-Art fitness center.

A garden of shadows and sun

The garden ofMartinez Oasis is located in the heart of the block on the 1st floor terrace and its creation required technical prowess for the whole to support the constraints and loads inherent in the birth of a garden which accommodates extraordinary vegetation, in the middle of which we includes all the well-being and relaxation activities and two architectural elements designed in the style of the “Folies”: a pool bar and a fitness room. The existing slab served as formwork for a new slab capable of supporting the load of a thickness of a lightweight substrate (pozzolan, clay balls and humus) over an average of 50 cm, the integration of emergences and technical ducts as well as shade exposure for half of the garden.

Haute couture landscape design

Arnaud SolignyWorks Director Bouygues Bâtiment Sud-Est confirmed: “To create this landscaped island, we had to take into account non-standard constraints: admissible load of the existing slab, adaptations of all the existing technical equipment, lightened topsoil, exceptional plants, all with the aim of achieving a haute couture landscape design. » Patrick Bouchardonlandscape designer Pena Paysages clarified his vision: “I imagined this garden as a summary of what symbolizes the Riviera, combining the landscape of the hinterland and the exoticism of travel. »

Bubble of tranquility

On the sunny side, around the swimming pool and the Spa, the vegetation is typically Mediterranean: olive trees, arbutus trees, eucalyptus, under the principle of agroforestry: a cover of sage topped with vertical trees. The side more shaded by the hotel building is home to a population of superb giant tree ferns married to pretty banana trees and a lush green plant cover even in winter. All animated by misting games.
