For the first time, Sound of Brit is coming to Australia to attend Meredith Music Festival from December 6 to 8, 2024. And we can tell you that it would be complicated to summarize this latest edition in just a few words. With 32 editions under their belt, they set the bar very high last year; not far from 12,000 people gathered.

For Australians, this family festival marks the start of summer in Victoria and Sound of Brit was delighted to be a part of it. With an eclectic program coming from all over the world, the English were represented by Fat White Family et Jamie XX. Rock and electro to satisfy the tastes of as many people as possible.

But what we remembered was above all the performance of Jamie XX. With a 90-minute set, our 36-year-old English DJ was amazing on stage; perfectly controlled transitions and a crowd in hypnosis for the entire duration of the set. Our favorite moment? When he started his great classic Gosh ; it’s as if the crowd is in hypnosis. It was the cherry on top of an already incredible weekend of music.
