Tuesday January 14, 2025, a Tempo 3 line bus of the Stan network caught fire Tomblainnear (Meurthe-et-).

According to Keolis, the accident took place around 9:50 p.m. near the Millénaire bridge, linking Tomblaine to Nancy: “There were no passengers on board. The vehicle was returning from the terminus located in Seichamps to return to the depot. »

According to network operator Stan, the fire started at the back of the driver’s seat. While trying to grab the fire extinguisher, the driver was burned on both hands.

Taken care of by the firefighters and hospitalized, he left the hospital during the night with an ITT (total incapacity for work) until the end of January.

An investigation underway to find out the causes of the bus fire

For now, the causes of the fire remain unknown and an investigation is underway. “Unlike previous fires, its origin is not at the rear of the vehicle, in the engine compartmentbut behind the driver’s seat,” explains Keolis.

Following this accident, all vehicles on lines T2 and T3 of the Stan network have been inspected overnight and a second inspection took place this morning at the termini of these lines.
