LPHF: Toronto Scepters beat Ottawa Charge 4-2

The Toronto Scepters reached the ten-point mark in the Professional Women’s Hockey League standings on Tuesday with a 4-2 victory over the Ottawa Charge, but this gain is not enough to take the team out of the Queen City of the lower reaches of the circuit.

In the standings, Toronto now has eleven points while the Charge remains at 14.

Blayre Turnbull’s second goal of the season at 11:04 of the third period broke a 2-2 tie.

Hannah Miller, Maggie Connors and Emma Maltais with the insurance goal were the other scorers for Toronto.

For the Charge, Mannon McMahon and Victoria Bach provided the response.

Kristen Campbell blocked 22 of the 24 shots aimed at her in front of the Scepters cage while Emerance Maschmeyer faced a burst of 38 shots.
