According to several rumors, the Nintendo Switch 2 could feature a GPU with a frequency of around 560 MHz in portable mode, with the possibility of going up to around 1000 MHz once the console is placed in its dock. Concretely, we are talking here about a power of around 1.7 teraflops in mobility, and which can climb to around 3.1 teraflops in living room mode. If we compare these figures to those of the current Switch or even other portable machines, the difference would be more than appreciable.
Although some see potential equivalent to older home consoles, we must not forget that the architecture used could prove to be more energy efficient. As always with Nintendo, the balance between performance and autonomy remains a major challenge. However, some insiders qualify these figures, adding that they come from preliminary tests and should be considered with caution.
