the suspects arrested after the fire in Parliament are close to the President of the Assembly

Maintenance worker at the office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Thomas Etheridge, one of the main suspects in the fire that ravaged both houses of the Liberian Parliament on December 18, was heard by a court in Monrovia, this Monday, January 13. Four relatives of Jonathan Fonati Koffa are also worried in this affair, while it is contested by a majority of deputies who demand his resignation.

As usual, Thomas Etheridge, maintenance officer in the office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives LiberiaJonathan Fonati Koffa, was there on the day of the Parliament fire, December 18. Arrested that day by law enforcement as a “person of interest” at around 7:30 a.m., he was named, three weeks later, as one of the main suspects.

In this case, four relatives of Jonathan Fonati Koffa were also arrested: three after a visit to the President of the House of Representatives, the fourth after publishing inflammatory threats on Facebook.
