Frech, 26th WTA player in the world, will face the winner of the upcoming match between Japanese Moyuka Uchijima and Russian Mirra Andreeva, seeded No. 14 in the third round of the Australian Grand Slam.
The Pole won against Russian qualifier Polina Kudermetova (6-4, 6-4), before this match against Blinkova, 73rd in the world at the WTA, on Wednesday. The Russian player, for her part, won against Australian wild card Daria Saville (1-6, 6-4, 7-5).
