Penguins: Malkin back after four games absence

Evgeni Malkin will return to action on Tuesday when the Pittsburgh Penguins face the Seattle Kraken at PPG Paints Arena (7 p.m. ET; KHN, SN-PIT, KONG).

The 38-year-old center participated in the Penguins’ morning skate two days after missing a fourth straight game with an upper-body injury.

“Malkin participated fully in training. I expect to have to make a decision on his return to play in the minutes before the game,” said head coach Mike Sullivan.

Malkin found his place at the center of the second line with Michael Bunting on his left and Cody Glass on his right. This season, he ranks fourth on the Penguins with 32 points (eight goals, 24 assists) in 41 games.

Bunting should also be in training on Tuesday. Involved in a car accident, the forward missed Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
