An alleged pimp from Gatineau has been arrested and is in custody while awaiting a return to court.
Carlos Desjardins, 27, was arrested in December by the Calgary Police Service at the request of the Integrated Anti-Pimping Squad.
The investigation began when the victim presented himself to the police to file a complaint against the individual. The events would have occurred between January and December 2024 in the Gatineau territory.
Desjardins therefore appeared to face charges of forcible confinement, causing a minor to offer sexual services for remuneration, sexual assault and assault.
The police believe that the suspect, who also used the nickname “Jayson Orellana”, would have caused other victims in Quebec or Canada.
