Courthouse: Mutamba gives the last push before the inauguration at the end of January 2025

The Minister of State, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Constant Mutamba, visited this Monday, January 13, 2024, the rehabilitation work on the courthouse, a major project which should soon see the light of day. Accompanied by the first president of the Court of Appeal, Madame Dia Akir Akir Espérance, the minister reviewed all the compartments of this emblematic building, personally ensuring the quality of the work carried out.

This visit, which lasted more than five hours, testifies to the importance that the government attaches to the modernization of the Congolese judicial system and the provision of infrastructure worthy of justice actors.

During this inspection, Minister Mutamba examined every room, from the court to the office, including courtrooms and administrative spaces.
Constant Mutamba was able to see the extent of the work undertaken by Milvest, a Turkish construction company, which was able to combine modernity and respect for architectural heritage.

In fact, the company not only renovated the existing structures, but also made significant improvements in terms of ergonomics and functionality, thus guaranteeing an optimal working environment for magistrates, lawyers and judicial staff.

In addition, the integration of modern technologies should optimize the functioning of the courthouse and improve access to justice for all.

Furthermore, the inspection allowed the Minister to note the significant progress of the work and to ensure that the project respected the quality standards and deadlines set.

Despite the remarkable progress of the work, Minister Mutamba, with the constant desire to achieve excellence, made some additional recommendations in order to further beautify the palace and optimize certain functional aspects. These recommendations, detailed and precise, were welcomed by the construction company, which undertook to integrate them into the latest adjustments.

In conclusion, the inauguration of the renovated courthouse, planned for the end of January, promises to be a major event for the Congolese judicial system. All that remains is to wait for the official inauguration to see the concrete results of this colossal work. The construction site is on track and the inauguration is imminent.
