Emil Heineman was involved in a road accident

Montreal Canadiens forward Emil Heineman was involved in a road accident yesterday while he was a pedestrian.

In a statement shared on social media, the Canadian clarified: “Heineman suffered an upper body injury and will be out for three to four weeks. »

The 23-year-old winger, who is in his rookie season in the NHL, has scored 10 goals and amassed a total of 17 points in 41 games this season.

Heineman played his last game in last Saturday’s 2-1 shootout loss to the Dallas Stars, where he spent 14 minutes and 26 seconds on the ice.

A native of Leksand, Sweden, Heineman was acquired by the Canadiens in 2022 in a trade with the Calgary Flames, along with forward Tyler Pitlick and two draft picks, in exchange for center Tyler Toffoli.

Drafted 43rd overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, Heineman is considered a promising young player for the organization.
