Mercato: Failed during medical examination, Okafor remains at AC Milan and does not join RB Leipzig

Leipzig have canceled the transfer of AC Milan player Noah Okafor after the Swiss failed a medical examination, scuttling a previously agreed deal. This failure complicates the Rossoneri market.

The RB Leipzig decided to cancel the loan of Noah Okafor at theAC Milan. The Swiss player did not fully convince after the medical examinations, and although the clubs reached an agreement, the contracts have not yet been signed, thus making the transfer null and void, which was ignored due to the negative results of physical tests. The player will now return to Milan.

Physical condition far from ideal

Noah Okafor will have to observe a 3-4 week break, a circumstance which led Leipzig to block the transfer, after carrying out the usual medical examinations.

It is not a serious injury, but the management of the German club, while showing interest in the Swiss striker, has decided to suspend the operation. As he was on loan for six months, the club needed a player immediately available and in 100% physical condition to be used in the next match.

A real mockery for the Rossoneri, who had already reached an agreement with Leipzig for an expensive loan of almost 2 million euros, with a redemption right set at 26 million.

A failed market blow which further complicates future operations for the Diavolo, already looking for offensive reinforcement. Several names have been approached by the club to replace Okafor, including Trincao et Marcus Rashfordthe latter being a difficult target due to his high salary. It remains to be seen how this unexpected failure will affect Milan’s performance in the market.
