Real Madrid: the “new Rodri” on the shelves

Tracked by Liverpool and Real Madrid, Martin Zubimendi may have already made his choice.

Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi could become Toni Kroos’ successor at Real Madrid. According to Reliefthe 25-year-old would not rule out a transfer to the Merengue, which would explain his recent refusal of advances from Liverpool and Manchester City. His release clause amounting to 60 million euros, Zubimendi could arrive in Madrid next summer or in a year, potentially accompanied by his former coach at Real Sociedad B, Xabi Alonso, currently on the bench of Bayer Leverkusen .

If his transfer seems possible, the influx of midfielders at Real, notably with Aurélien Tchouaméni, could complicate his arrival… unless the latter were to be sold.
