According to the first elements of the investigation, an explosive charge was placed against the front of the restaurant.
The damage was fortunately limited and no injuries were reported, the shutters and the glass door were blown out but the restaurant opened normally.
The staff discovered the extent of the damage this morning when the fast-food restaurant opened, an establishment which is used to welcoming young people, high school students and families.
The judicial police, seized of the case, favor the trail of a criminal act. This is the third attack targeting a commercial establishment in Corsica in just two days.
The Bastia public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation to try to identify the perpetrators of this act, which adds to a series of violence which has shaken the island for several months.
