Sonego’s incredible back shot

Lorenzo Sonego can probably boast of having made, so far, the best shot of this 2025 Australian Open.

During a break point against Stanislas Wawrinka in the third set, the Italian was in a very bad position, swept aside by the Swiss.

After a lob from Wawrinka, Sonego found the energy to go to the ball and make a magnificent shot behind the back, which turned into the winning point, leaving Wawrinka totally frozen.

After this magnificent exchange, the audience cheered Sonego.
