Sailor Clarisse Crémer, who is participating in her 2nd Vendée Globe and currently occupies 11th place in this 10th edition, admitted to having only taken one shower since November 20.
Funny secrets about her life on the open sea. Like all the skippers competing in the Vendée Globe, Clarisse Crémer took the start of the 10th edition on November 10. And while she is in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, she took the opportunity to talk about her daily life on board the boat, revealing in particular that she took her first shower this weekend since November 20. That’s 52 days ago.
“I don’t know if it shows, but I took a shower today. It was the first time, I don’t know if I should say it, since November 20,” she admitted, a little embarrassed. “I don’t think I’m a dirty person on a daily basis. I take showers daily. But once I’m dirty, I’m dirty,” she added.
-But she didn’t go without washing during all this time. “I did a little cat toilet when I changed my clothes but I didn’t really feel the need for it,” said the Frenchwoman with a smile.
For her 2nd participation, Clarisse Crémer currently occupies 11th place in this solo, non-stop and unassisted sailing trip around the world, and is expected in Les Sables-d’Olonne on January 25 and 27. It remains to be seen whether she will take another shower by then or whether she will wait until she is back on earth.
