The government site Rappel Conso warns of an anti-imperfection mask from the Kurku-Ma brand, sold online mainly on the sites kurku-ma.com and humasana.com. This product, marketed between December 2023 and January 2025, contains substances prohibited for cosmetic use, including arsenic, selenium, barium, cobalt and zirconium. These components represent a serious chemical risk to users.

The recall was ordered by a prefectural decree, mobilizing health authorities to alert consumers and withdraw this product from the market.

Precautions for consumers

Conso Reminder invites users to immediately stop using this mask. Consumers are encouraged to contact points of sale to request a refund. If they do not wish to return the product, they are required to destroy it before throwing it away, in order to prevent it from being recovered and used by a third party. For any questions, it is recommended to keep the product packaging and, if possible, the barcode to facilitate procedures.

In the event of continued sale of this product despite the ban, customers can make a report to the Signal Conso platform. This system aims to alert the authorities of the crackdown on fraud so that they can act quickly.

A product difficult to trace

The authorities also recall the importance of checking product labels and certifications before making any online purchases.

This case highlights the risks associated with purchasing cosmetic products on the Internet, where controls are sometimes less rigorous. Substances detected in this mask may cause serious health effects, and their use in skin-applied products is strictly prohibited in Europe.
