British boxer Tyson Fury, former world heavyweight champion, announced this Monday that he was ending his career at the age of 36 in a video posted on his Instagram account. “I’ll keep it short. I would like to announce my retirement from boxing. It was a pleasure“, declared the Briton, who remains on two defeats in a row against the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
The information should however be taken with a grain of salt, the “Gipsy King is not his first retirement announcement. Fury had already announced in 2022, on his 34th birthday, that he was hanging up his gloves before come back to aim for the heavyweight belt.
