During the first episode ofLive from the universe of 2025, featuring the comedian Vincent Leclercthe production and the host paid tribute to Julien Poulinwho sadly left us a few days ago.
At the very end of the episode, an incredibly touching number was performed to honor the memory of the late comedian, who had also shared the screen with Vincent in Seraph. Leclerc had the opportunity to speak about the man that Julien Poulin was, sharing words full of respect and emotion.
“He was a pillar! Despite great sensitivity, then great accuracy, tenderness too. He was a guy who was super strong, who represented a whole section of culture, and at the same time he could be a child in scenes. I found him extraordinary!” confided Leclerc with gratitude.
This poignant moment also brought together Gildor Roy, Fabien Cloutier et Robin Joel Coolwho also shared their testimonies before performing a number in his honor. Fabien notably re-emphasized the exceptional and respected man that Julien was. Robin spoke of his inquisitive mind.
While Gildor concluded by mentioning that he would have liked to know what Julien would have responded to Trump, he who, as we know, played Elvis Gratton, where he often referred to «Amaricains» in a caricatured manner.
“You know, France, it’s not important what I did with him. Do you know? I just thought about that, I would have been curious to know what Julien would have responded to Donald Trump.
So this is before launching the musical score Can’t Help Falling in Love that France has fictitiously embraced our Elvis Quebecois.
“(…) Above all, we will remember all of his humanity and all of his sensitivity. So happy Saturday evening everyone. We kiss him,” said France.
A deeply moving television moment!
