sunny spells, persistent cold… What will the weather be like this week?

If the cold is well established across , the sun should shine every day this week. Good winter weather is therefore expected throughout France.

The best part is clearings. After overcast and rainy days, the sun will shine over almost all of France all week.

From Monday morning, the southern half will benefit from a completely clear sky, but dotted with clouds in the north-western part. It will be –5°C in the morning in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, up to 9°C in . In the afternoon, the temperature will not exceed 1°C in , , , and . The mercury is expected to rise to 16°C in Nice.

Temperatures will drop in the north of France from Tuesday, -5°C in , , Alençon and . It will be –3°C in where residents are urged to be careful as frost is expected. The weather will still be clear, with plenty of sunshine expected across France.

A sunny weekend ahead

A few scattered clouds are expected mid-week, particularly over the northern half. Temperatures will be stable, with a minimum of –4°C in and , and a maximum of 14°C in Nice.

On Thursday, the sun will shine across France accompanied by a few clouds in the northeast. The thermometer will oscillate between –3°C in the morning in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, and 16°C in the afternoon in .

The good winter weather will continue on Friday, with sunshine still over most of the territory, despite a few fog banks forecast in the north, notably in , Amiens and Strasbourg. Temperatures will be very mild in the south, with 13°C in , 15°C in Nice, and up to 17°C in Ajaccio.

This good weather should continue throughout the weekend as well.
