PSG has just revealed the group of 21 players selected for the match against Saint-Etienne and Luis Enrique has once again made strong choices since several possible starters for the winter transfer window have been left out.
After announcing this Saturday in a pre-match press conference that we had to look at his actions rather than listen to his words, Luis Enrique made strong decisions once again when composing his group of 21 players for PSG /Saint-Etienne. Despite the absence of Marquinhos on injury, Milan Skriniar was not selected and is therefore out of the group again. Presnel Kimpembe is no longer called up for the match. On the other hand, the young and versatile Axel Tape is well in the group of 21 players.
There is only one missing in attack, the young Ibrahim Mbaye who is injured in the ankle, but that is not enough to offer a place in the group to Randal First Class which is therefore once again put aside while a departure is expected shortly. On the other hand, Marco Asensio was selected among the 21 players, a sign that he is less pushed towards the exit than the other two possible starters.
For the rest, no surprises in this group and the 21st who will not be present on the scoresheet should be the third goalkeeper Arnau holds.
The group for PSG/Saint-Etienne:
- Guardians: Donnarumma, Safonov, Tenas
- Defenders: Hakimi, Pacho, Hernandez, Beraldo, Mendes, Zague, Tape
- Environments: Ruiz, Vitinha, Zaïre-Emery, Neves, Mayulu, Lee
- Attackers: Ramos, Dembélé, Asensio, Barcola, Doué
For its part, AS Saint-Etienne announced its group last night and there are a large number of absentees, as announced by the coach at a press conference. The Greens will appear at the Parc des Princes this Sunday evening with the following group:
