The Canadian offers an update on David Savard and Patrik Laine

After another impressive victory yesterday, this time against the Capitals in Washington, the Canadian is already back home today. A big order comes to the Bell Center: the Dallas Stars. Fortunately, the CH will be able to count on reinforcement.

The team confirmed this afternoon that David Savard would return to the lineup. The right-handed defenseman hasn’t played since Dec. 31 in Vegas due to an upper-body injury. The veteran is an important piece of the CH defensive brigade, he who has 10 points to his record in 35 games this season, maintaining a differential of +1 while playing an average of 18:37 per game.

Patrik Laine could also be back in action. The Finn has also been absent since the 31st match in Vegas, for his part due to flu symptoms. It is before the match against the Stars that we will know if #92 will be in the lineup this evening. It’s starting to be a long absence due to the flu…

Update 6:38 p.m.: Laine will be back against the Stars!

During the absence of the two players, the Canadian came away with three victories and only one defeat (against the Chicago Blackhawks…). The Avalanche, the Canucks and the Capitals have suffered defeats against the Habs since the start of 2025. Not so bad!
