The Israeli army, for its part, indicated that it had targeted a truck transporting weapons used by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
The National Information Agency (ANI, official) for its part indicated that an “Israeli drone[vait] targeted a car in Tayr Debba”, about twenty kilometers north of the border with Israel.

According to the Israeli army, “several terrorists were identified loading a truck with weapons used by the terrorist organization Hezbollah in southern Lebanon,” and a military plane struck the vehicle “in order to eliminate the threat “.
The army claims to have acted “in accordance with the ceasefire agreements concluded between Israel and Lebanon”.
A truce came into effect on November 27 between Israel and Hezbollah, after more than a year of hostilities sparked by the pro-Iranian movement, including two months of all-out war during which Israel also committed ground troops in the southern Lebanon.
Under the ceasefire agreement, the Lebanese army is to deploy alongside peacekeepers in the south, from where the Israeli army is to withdraw over a period of 60 days expiring on January 26.
Hezbollah must withdraw its forces north of the Litani River, about 30 kilometers from the border, and dismantle any remaining military infrastructure in the south of the country.
Israel continued to carry out episodical strikes on southern and eastern Lebanon after the truce took effect.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on Sunday accused Hezbollah of not withdrawing “beyond the Litani River” and of not respecting other terms of the ceasefire, after the pro-movement Iranian accused Israel of violations.
A monitoring mechanism bringing together France, the United States, Lebanon, Israel and the UN peace force in Lebanon, UNIFIL, was set up to monitor the implementation of this agreement.
Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem warned last week that his group could “lose patience” with Israeli “violations” before the 60-day deadline provided for in the agreement expires.
