Renovation by gesture: relaxed conditions

The conditions for benefiting from gesture renovation aid were relaxed on May 15, 2024, and have been more so since May 1is January 2025, to allow households wishing to carry out a single work action (changing their heating system or installing insulation, for example) to benefit from flat-rate assistance.

In total, 172,878 households requested this subsidy in 2024 and 188,250 bonuses were granted. But renovations by gesture have slowed down compared to 2023.

Large-scale renovation: an acceleration of dynamics in 2024

Households who wish to carry out the most efficient renovation work benefit from support from a Rénov’ Accompanist and financial assistance.

According to Anah, 70,601 applications were submitted in this context in 2024, including 35,775 in the third quarter and 42,745 aid was granted.

Large-scale renovation projects are significantly more ambitious than in 2023, with greater aid for all households, regardless of their income.

In total, 75% of the files concern housing with an energy class F or G under the energy performance diagnosis (DPE).

The average cost of a work project in individual housing is €55,540 and benefits from average aid of €37,973.

What budget for MaPrimeRénov’ in 2025?

According to Hellio, platform specializing in energy savingsbefore the resignation of the Barnier government, the finance bill for 2025 provided for a budget of 2.3 billion euros allocated to MaPrimeRénov’, i.e. – 1 billion euros compared to 2024.

Things can still change, but the decline since 1is January 2025 of the amount of certain premiums (acted in and order published in the Official Journal of December 5, 2024) testifies to this.
