Garmin, leader in technological solutions for outdoor activities, unveiled the Zūmo R1 Radar at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, an innovation dedicated to the safety of motorcyclists. This cutting-edge device, designed to improve alertness on the road, is based on radar technology specially adapted to two-wheelers.
The Zūmo R1 Radar from Garmin: to see and be seen better
Not there to give your bpm (beats per minute) or count your steps, no with the Zūmo R1 Radar, Garmin offers a complete solution for monitor blind spots and detect vehicles behind the two-wheeler. Motorcyclists are instantly alerted thanks to indicator lights integrated into the handlebars, guaranteeing increased responsiveness to dangers.
To improve visibility, amber side lights and a red rear light (optional) allow other users to better spot motorcyclists on the road, a crucial measure for their safety.

Connectivity and robustness for bikers
The Zūmo R1 Radar also stands out for its compatibility with the zūmo Radar mobile app and the Zūmo XT2 motorcycle GPSdelivering sound alerts directly into the Bluetooth headset or headset.
Discreet and easy to install, the radar attaches to the license plate and is powered directly by the motorcycle, eliminating the need for an additional battery. Its IP67 certification guarantees resistance to water and dustfor reliable use whatever the conditions.

Déjà available at a price of €599.99, the Zūmo R1 Radar marks another milestone in Garmin’s commitment to rider safety. The launch comes amid a record year for the company, which saw a 24% increase in revenue, reaching $1.59 billion. Revenues from automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) notably jumped 53%, highlighting the growing importance of technological solutions dedicated to the sector.
