PSG/Saint-Etienne will be played at the end of the 17th day of Ligue 1 this Sunday (8:45 p.m.). A few days before the match, it is already possible to define the main lines of the team compositions of the two camps.
Three and a half weeks after its last match in the competition, a superb victory on the Monaco pitch (4-2), Paris returned to L1 on Sunday evening (8:45 p.m.) at the end of the 17th day, the last of the first leg, and It’s the Greens who are on the program. For this PSG/Saint-Etienne, the team compositions should reserve a limited number of surprises given the light schedule and the predictable absences from both camps.
PSG with the same eleven as in the last match?
On the PSG side, the defense should see Donnarumma be a starter behind the usual quartet made up of Judge, Marquinhos, On it and Nuno Mendes. As always, it is in the middle that change could take place with the famous four players for three positions. Fabian Ruiz was a substitute in the last match but he made a decisive entry and could therefore be restarted. Instead of João Neves who was the first to come out? It’s a possibility.
In attack, Luis Enrique has also opened his starting lineup in recent weeks and it is frankly complicated to know who will start this PSG / Saint-Etienne. Dembele’s looks good as a starter, as does Désiré Gifted which has a series of good matches, but the last place between Stagger et Lee is nothing obvious. Ramos and obviously even more Asensio or Kolo Muani seem further away from the starting lineup.
A possible composition of PSG against Saint-Etienne: Donnarumma – Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes – Zaïre-Emery, Vitinha, Neves or Ruiz – Lee or Barcola, Dembélé, Doué
-Saint-Etienne in continuity against PSG
On the Saint-Etienne side, the composition which will challenge PSG will necessarily be close to the one which brought down Reims (3-1) last week since it was the first for new coach Eirik Horneland. ASSE should therefore present itself in 4-3-3 at kick-off and the very numerous absentees announced will inevitably complicate the possible choices of the new Norwegian coach of the Greens.
Few surprises are expected in defense with in particular the presence of a player trained at PSG, Dylan Batubinsika, in the center. In the middle, the trio composed of Mouton, Ekwah and Bouchouari should be renewed given that it worked well. It is in attack that change is expected with the return on the left side of the Georgian Davitashvili, who was ill last week. On the right side, Boakye is favorite to start to the detriment of Cafaro.
The probable composition of Saint-Etienne against PSG: Larsonneur – Appiah, Batubinsika, Nade, Petrot – Mouton, Ekwah, Bouchouari – Boakye, Stassin, Davitashvili
