At the beginning of December, the Annonay hospital staff association organized a culinary demonstration and tasting evening. The hospital cooks rolled up their sleeves to delight the thirty people present.
This tasting evening is one of the few events organized by the staff association of the Ardèche-Nord Hospital Center with the aim of bringing together active and retired employees of the establishment, all categories combined, for friendly and sharing times.
The missions of the association
Dominique Largeron has been president of the association since 1983. Although retired, she has kept her position as president and hopes that new people will have the desire to get involved as she still does today and to On the other hand, to join the association in order to benefit from some reductions on cultural or sporting activities.

“The association is aimed at all staff, from workers to directors, doctors, etc. It is financed by the membership card which entitles you to the advantages of the Cezam network. At the time, we were talking about the Icena card. Everyone had this card. It was even important to have it.
It was created in favor of works councils and associations so that employees can benefit from advantages on tickets to the cinema, the swimming pool, shows, etc. Today it still offers advantages but its beneficiaries have less enthusiasm for it because they are not interested or because they find better offers elsewhere. »
The association currently has 260 members. Its role beyond allowing these reductions remains by definition to bring people together, to ensure that people come together outside of work to share festive moments and exchanges.
“This year we organized a pétanque competition, a belote competition and a day trip. It’s difficult to organize something over several days, whether in terms of costs or everyone’s availability, hence our choice of a day trip.
-Although many retirees take part in these events, we regret that active staff are poorly represented… We also offered a sophrology workshop and a games afternoon for children, in partnership with the 3-legged Mouton. It was a great success and given the satisfaction of the participants, we are thinking of repeating it this year, just like the tasting evening which closed 2024.”
For 2025, the 12 members of the office – of which only 4 are active – are counting on new ideas! In the meantime, she plans to start a storytelling afternoon or evening. Tuesday active and retired meetings, organized every two months, should also continue.
It’s an opportunity to always have a nice time. Whatever the events that will punctuate the year’s calendar, the association needs volunteers so that it can still have a bright future ahead of it.
An essential grant
The association, at the request of the management and because it pays it a dedicated subsidy, ensures the organization of Christmas for all the children of the hospital staff, whether members of the association or not.
“For the occasion, we rent the EMD, we put on a show, we share a snack and we offer a voucher to each child. It’s a great moment that we can organize thanks to the money given to us by management… without it, we couldn’t take on this event. »
Part of this subsidy is intended for the departure of retirees. During the greeting ceremony and medal presentations, we offer, thanks to this money, a little something to the staff who are retiring.
Beyond the material gift, it is an opportunity to honor and promote the investment of these new retirees. For the association, it was inconceivable that after more than 20 years of career, employees would retire without their long years within the establishment being recognized. »
