The heavy rains that fell this Wednesday, January 8, 2025 in Ille-et-Vilaine and Loire-Atlantique had numerous consequences. The city of Guichen (Ille-et-Vilaine) was also a victim floodsfollowing the flood of the Vilaine.
Ille-et-Vilaine: floods and rising water levels in Guichen
The commune of Guichen Pont-Réan was thus placed in yellow level flood alert due to “recent rainfall and rising waters”.
This rain follows an already wet weekend and will continue today, causing levels to rise. The forecasts show a rise in the Vilaine until Thursday January 9, 2025 at 1 p.m.
Vigilance instructions to follow
The town hall therefore issued some vigilance instructions to respect:
- stay informed of developments in the situation via official channels.
- avoid driving in flooded areas, on foot or by car.
- protect your property sensitive to water, especially if you live in a risk area.
- report any danger or incident at the town hall or emergency services.
