Duel at the top of the NBA

Unmissable meeting tonight at 1 a.m. between the Cavaliers and the Thunder. Cleveland hasn’t lost any of its last 10 meetings while OKC is on a 15-game winning streak.

Duel at the top of the NBA between the two teams who occupy the lead in the Western and Eastern conferences. On one side the Thunder of MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the poison/nightmare of all NBA forwards named Luguentz Dort. On the other, the Cavaliers led by the Fantastic Four Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen.

To go further, we have the best defense in the person of OKC against the best attack in the NBA represented by the Cavaliers. A perfect opposition of style in perspective.

Besides the banger that is coming, it is a match that is (already) written in the history books. Here are some facts that make this meeting a historic event.

  • This is the first time in history that two teams with a current streak of more than 10 consecutive victories have faced each other.
  • Cleveland has a winning percentage of 88% and OKC has an 85%. Never have two teams with such a high percentage faced each other.
  • The Cavs have yet to lose a game against a Western team this season (10-0). Conversely, watchdogs Oklahoma have not lost a game against a team from the East (11-0). This is the first time that two teams with such a streak have crossed swords.
  • Cavaliers and Thunder are well on their way to having a season we will never forget. With an average gap of 11.8 points for the Cavs and 12.1 for OKC, the two franchises are on their way to occupying the top 5 of the biggest differentials in NBA history.

Tomorrow’s matchup between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder will be historic.

So to see if Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will deliver a classic on the Cavaliers’ defense or if the fiery attack will finally succeed in bringing down the Thunder’s incredible defensive lock, be wide awake at 1 a.m.
