The bodies of two hostages repatriated by the IDF

The family of hostages Youssef and Hamza Ziyadne announced that IDF soldiers had repatriated the bodies of their loved ones.

Youssef and Hamza, a father and son, from Rahat, aged 53 and 22, were taken hostage on October 7 from Kibbutz Holit where they worked. Two other children of the family, Bilal (18 years old) and Aïsha (17 years old) had been captured with them, they were released during the agreement of November 2023, after 50 days of captivity.

Youssef was married to two women and the father of 19 children, Hamza was married and the father of 2 children.

It was the IDF who made the announcement to the family.

»The pain is immense. We wanted to see them return alive to their family but unfortunately, they return lifeless,” said the family.

The Tikva forum published a press release: “The families of the otegs of the Tikva Forum share the pain of the family of Youssef and Hamza Ziyadne, z’l. We thank the brave IDF soldiers who work day and night for the return of our loved ones while many have paid with their lives to achieve this goal.”

There remain 98 hostages in the hands of Hamas. 36 of them were officially declared dead by the State of Israel.
