Oilers shut out Bruins in Boston

Stuart Skinner stopped 26 pucks and helped the Edmonton Oilers to their fourth straight victory by beating the Boston Bruins 4-0 at TD Garden.

The Oilers goaltender was not credited with the shutout, however, as he was replaced by Calvin Pickard for 5:25 of the first period. Skinner had to retreat to the locker room after a collision with defenseman Nikita Zadorov while breaking through the net.

Adam Henrique scored two goals for the Oilers (25-12-3), who are 15-3-1 in their last 19 games. Defenseman Brett Kulak finished the game with two assists.

For his part, Leon Draisaitl saw his streak of 14 games with at least one point end (12 goals, 15 assists).

Boston is 0-4-1 in its last five outings. The Bruins (20-18-5) had collected at least one point in each of their last seven home games (6-0-1).

Jeremy Swayman was busy in goal for the Bruins, making 35 saves.

Henrique gave the Oilers the lead by scoring his fourth goal of the year at 6:33 of the first period.

Captain Connor McDavid, who had been shut out in his last two games, then took advantage of a breakaway to beat Swayman on a power play at 11:11 of the second period.

Henrique took advantage of a Charlie Coyle turnover in Bruins territory to score his second goal of the game at 16:35.

Viktor Arvidsson completed the scoring in an empty cage at 16:25 of the final period.
