Cyril Hanouna takes stock (again)

The host of “Touche pas à mon poste” returned this Monday, January 6, on C8, to the move of his talk show to another channel in the Canal+ group.

“What is (really) the future of TPMP?” That is the question. Viewers, of course, are wondering. Journalists, obviously, too. It is quite likely that the show’s team itself is wondering. In short, Cyril Hanouna’s landscape appears more uncertain than ever. Yesterday, however, like every day around 6:50 p.m., the host displayed his usual confidence. He obviously knows what will happen to his show after the irrevocable closure of C8 on February 27, 2025.

This Monday, January 6, 2025, in the “THE BIG DO$$” section, the troublemaker had fun listing, one by one, the articles published in the press (, celebrity, etc.) on this hot topic. Some starting with “We know more about…”, others ending with the timeless “According to our information…”. In short, will C8’s daily newspaper move to CNews? On CStar? On Europe 2, in the morning between 7:00 and 10:00?

Considering the sum of his prospects, Cyril Hanouna therefore took the time to respond. “We’re going to come back to all that. Is it true, is it false? Already, Europe 1, things are not moving, between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., ‘We walk on our heads’it won’t change until June, unless the audiences collapse”he commented.

Further on, he adds: “Then, Europe 2 is Benjamin Castaldi. Like I told you. Benjamin Castaldi, who is doing the Europe 2 Morning Show, is currently on Europe 2 until the end of the season. I will not go to Europe 2 in the morning and in the afternoon to Europe 1. For the moment, that is not on the agenda.”

Returning to his main sheep, Hanouna finally said this: “On television, tel, telephone, small window… (he makes himself laugh, Editor’s note). Don, what’s going on? The C8 channel… Finally, the Canal+ group has negotiated its agreement. (…) A charter that says what the channel can do and what the channel cannot do.”

Then specify: “Know that in the Canal+ group, there is C8, there is CStar and there is CNews and other more confidential channels. C8, normally, will end on February 27. Since the Council of State confirmed Arcom’s decision… We expected no less from them, eh… The opposite would still have surprised us a little. So they said it was too early to make a decision.”

And to complete: “So C8 is leaving. We wanted to know if CStar, it was possible in the CStar convention, to do a TPMP type talk show between 6:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. So. A priori, yes it is possible. The agreement allows it. So we’re going to work on that. There are other avenues. Know that this path exists…”

So the press doesn’t just say nonsense… “This is a serious lead. We’re not going to lie to each other. But I will tell you what will happen in the coming days.” concludes the character. In short, everything is said. Nothing is said. The TPMP subject continues to occupy airtime, bandwidth on the web and quite a few liters of ink, like the sequence of the show, relayed on X (formerly Twitter) and on many others supports.
